Intelligent Home Screen UI from Larva Labs
Larve Labs, with the help of Ideas on Purpose, have gone and created yet another customized Android interface. This one seems a bit more simple than the HTC Sense UI, but definitely a stretch from the standard Android interface. They go and setup everything in a split screen, with more important items up top and general information on the bottom. The division is looks to be a general info bar, with time, weather and system status icons (gone is the standard static status bar). While that seems interesting, I’m not sure having a moving status bar would be good…no longer can I quickly glance at the time or my signal strength etc, instead I’d have to search for the status bar with my eyes, then read it. Each info bar is color coded for quick reference, and items that require an app to view/proceed/open have an applicable icon right next to it. I think this think this UI has great potential though, and can’t wait to give it a try. Keep ‘em coming I say, the more choices the better.
