Android’s Heritage?

beDroidWhile reading through some of the details of the Open Source Project site for Android, I stumbled across an interesting find, at least in my mind.  Half of the Core Technical Team at Google working on Android, 5 of the 10, were previously employed with Be Inc., the company behind BeOS.  I still remember late nights opening my Sony VAIO PCG-505G so I could take the hard drive out (a mere 2GB) and placing it in my desktop to install BeOS, then back into the lappy it went to boot beautiful BeOS on the Sony.  I am in no position to say this with any proof, but I’d like to think, in my happy little world, that some of Android’s code was born in BeOS.  Just a happy thought.
