Nook – Late to the Party

Barnes & Noble will have to delay the in-store arrival of the Nook by one week due to not having enough inventory for the pre-order sales.  Obviously this is a little bitter sweet.  It’s nice to see you’ve sold more than you expected to sell, but bad that you don’t have enough to release your [...]

Gizmodo: “Google Phone ‘Is a Certainty’”

According to one of my favorite sites, Gizmodo, the Google-branded, Android-powered phone “is a certainty”.  They state they have a “trusted source” on the matter who states that over the next few weeks, Google’s campus will be inundated with the new handsets, which have large LCD screens and sport an Android build of 2.1 or [...]

Android 2.1 on HTC Hero

Some screen shots have surfaced showing Android 2.1 running on an HTC Hero, with Sense UI and all. Just to let everyone know, a few minor changes are happening over the next week or so.  First, the site is being transferred to a new server.  The current server just isn’t doing a good job with some of the back end functions and I’m hoping with the new server it’ll run smoother and faster [...]

Android Developer Challenge 2 has officially come to an end, no more votes, sorry folks.  The Android Developer Blog has announced the close and states the winners will be revealed on Monday, November 30th.   Apparently, “tens of thousands” of users voted in ADC 2 and that was sufficient numbers to create winners and not losers [...]

Motorola DROID $120 at Dell!

Motorola DROID $120 at Dell!

Well, this is a welcome surprise. As part of the inevitable pre-empting of Black Friday that seems to be the fashion this year, Dell is offering the DROID for $119.99 right now. The price comes at the expense of the standard 2-year contract, but the price cut doesn’t involve any mail-in rebates, so $119.99 is [...]

Gameloft Completes 180

Well, here is a nice turn of events.   Remember the article a couple days ago about Gameloft stating they were getting out of the Android development?  Well, apparently, Gameloft released a statement on the 23rd, showing their support for 2nd generation Android phones, notably the Motorola Droid and XPERIA X10.
