Revido.com has a nice snapshot of a presentation given about the Acer Liquid showing the snapdragon will be running at 768Mhz. Some people feel this is a mistake, but honestly, I cannot lean one way or another. Maybe 768 for the snapdragon is plenty of power for Android. Maybe not. Maybe it’s worth the lower hertz for higher battery life. Maybe it was an afterthought of Acer that went something like this…
Engineer 1: “Uh, this phone has no battery life.”
Engineer 2: “Dang, well, let’s clock it down some.”
Qualcomm’s own snapdragon website lists it as 1Ghz, so it is most likely it went something like I described above. But, I still reserve judgment until I’ve had a unit in hand to test. So, Acer, you want to provide?
