Venturebeat has a nice article about data from app developer analytic company Flurry. According to Flurry the new starts for applications increased 94% from Sep to Oct of this year. I think that sounds about right and wouldn’t be surprised if that jump continues over the next few months considering the recent introduction of phones since that time, 2 for Sprint, 2 for Verizon and additional one for T-Mobile. I think the developers are really starting to take notice now. Check the numbers
“Developers who used to develop only for iPhone are now adding Android applications to their line up in record numbers,” Flurry president and CEO Simon Khalaf said in a prepared statement. “Flurry market data shows that Android continues to gain interest from application developers.”
This is even more good news as the Android world continues to grow in increasing rates.
