The HTC Buzz begins by looking very similar to the current Droid Eris available through Verizon Wireless. However, this is another GSM phone, and looks to possibly be on the lower end of the market come 2010. First, it lacks an AMOLED screen that the Bravo and Legend will be carrying. It’s sticking with the current default of 3.2″ QVGA capacitive touch screen and the 528Mhz processor. It does, however, have some interesting social features.
One of the first things that caught my eye when reading the leaked Buzz specs is a listing of “Application sharing” along with a number of social network applications. I am wondering what exactly that means, and I’ll leave it at that for now. Other specs are fairly standard:
- GSM 3G Speeds, 7.2mbps down 2mbps up.
- 512MB ROM, 256MB RAM
- GPS/AGPS
- Accerometer
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- 802.11b/g
- Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR
- microSD slot
- 5.0MP Camera with auto focus, flash and Face recognition software.
