Passion/Nexus One/Google Phone Pics are “Official”

In a stroke of brilliant detective work, Engadget seems to have confirmed that the Google Phone, which is unofficially official, has been officially leaked.

And it is the HTC Passion. By searching Picasa’s web albums for the EXIF tag “Nexus One” they confirmed that the device from a twitter leak (leading pic) is indeed the Google Phone, the Nexus One.

So, having called this one as a Sprint handset, an upgrade to the Hero option, I’ll be the first to say I was wrong. It’s GSM, it’s unlocked, and it’s going to be released in January.
