HTC Passion – Nexus One – Google Phone System Dump
AndroidSPIN has their hands on a system dump of the yet to be released Google Phone a.k.a. Nexus One a.k.a. Passion. The have supported the file for download here and have torn it open a little already. Some of the basic details are interesting including .apks that have only been seen on the SenseHero 2.1 apks. Two apps that I think support the animated wallpaper rumors are called VisualizationWallpapers.apk and MagicSmokeWallpapers.apk. Others this it’s more than just an animated wallpaper, but some sort of interactive wallpaper.
Next app to think about is called TelephonyProvider.apk, which could be almost anything you can think of. One possible explanation is a VoIP service selector app, possibly to tie in with Gizmo and/or Google Voice.
Gallery3D.apk sounds like it’s a fairly straight forward app, one with a 3D interface for viewing your photo and/or video galleries. I think this should be very fun to play with if we can get it working.
The last app they mention is called GenieWidget.apk. They don’t know what it is and I don’t know what it is, unless it’s a widget to magically bring me three wishes.

UPDATE: Here are the app icons. I couldn’t get these to install, but I wasn’t trying very hard. This is just the apks and odex files copied to my SD card and viewing in Astro File manager.
Nexus One Apps
Well, I have been combing through this ROM Dump and I can across a little file called: lights.mahimahi.so under the lib/hw folder. I found the following lines interesting. Anyone want to confirm that the jogball has different colors?
- /sys/class/leds/jogball-backlight/brightness
- /sys/class/leds/jogball-backlight/color
- /sys/class/leds/jogball-backlight/period
