The word has been out for a while that Adobe is actively developing a Flash player for the Android platform, but until recently we haven’t been seeing much demoing of the software. Until now that is.Adobe was quick to follow up with Google’s Nexus One announcement yesterday to announce and show a demo of their latest Flash Player 10.1 beta on Android. Specifically, they show the demo using the Nexus One (N1) which we are reading Adobe, HTC, Qualcomm and Google are working closely together to support. The software is still beta, and they are still working to get it out Spring 2010, which is soon. It should work on any Android 2.0+ device, but it’d be hard to believe any 2.0 device will not be updated to 2.1 soon enough. Heck, even the HTC Hero for Sprint is going straight to 2.1. Here is a nice demo video from Adobe showing some games and really annoying websites with Flash advertisements. Yeah, there are some bad results of having Flash on your Android. Ads. But, hopefully either Mozilla will come out with Fennec for Android with plugin support for disabling Flash, or maybe Dolphin Browser, my current favorite Android web browser will have an update.
