Motorola Backflip
Motorola announced during CES a new type of Android phone with a “reverse flip” QWERTY keyboard. The keyboard of the phone faces out when the hinged phone is closed, and behind the screen is a trackpad like feature they have dubbed backtrack. It also features Android 1.5 with MOTOBLUR and will be upgraded to Android 2.1.The Backflip is basically a cousin of the Cliq, with very similar hardware specs, but including the trackpad and reverse flip keyboard feature. Some of the basic features besides mentioned above are:
- 528Mhz Qualcomm 7200 Processor
- 320×480 Screen 3.1″ Screen
- 3G connectivity for AT&T (no T-Mobile)
- Wifi 802.11b/g
- 5MP Camera with LED Flash
- Comes with 2GB microSD card installed and supports up to 32GB
Nothing ground breaking except the change in interface. Look for this to move into AT&T land soon.
