Motorola Preparing Phone for both T-Mobile and AT&T
After reviewing a couple of FCC Filings this morning, it looks like Motorola is preparing a smart phone, most likely with Android on board, for both AT&T and T-Mobile. The devices passed through the FCC about a week ago with the IDs IHDP56KZ1 and IHDP56KZ2. KZ1 comes with quad band GSM and 3G support for T-Mobile, while the KZ2 comes with quad band GSM and 3G support for AT&T. Both phones come with Wifi 802.11b/g and Bluetooth 2.1. Little else could be found from the filings, but considering Motorola stated they’d have something like 20 Android phones coming through the pipe this year, it’s a good bet these things will be fully Droid worthy. For reference, Motorola’s DROID has an FCC ID of IHDP56KC5 and the Cliq comes with ID IHDT56KV1. There is another Motorola with the “56″ ID and a code name of WX404 supporting CDMA EVDO and Bluetooth via IHDT56LC1.
