Verizon Backed HTC Incredible Photo Shoot

The HTC Incredible that is destined for Verizon Wireless has been caught in a nice photo shoot showing off the nice bright reds of the interior and subtle, soft-touch black of the exterior.  The Incredible looks to be making quite a bit of sneak appearances lately, and the latest comes from Android Forums, where a lucky user has managed to snap a few photos of the Snapdragon powered Incredible with it’s 8MP camera and very large touch screen.  On the back, is a silk-screened Verizon Wireless logo and inside are some shiny red plastics.

If this 768Mhz Snapdragon phone runs anything like my 528Mhz Qualcomm powered CDMA Hero with Android 2.1 and Sense UI, then it will be amazing.  Let me say this, I’ve been running Android 2.1 with Sense UI on my CDMA Hero for a while now and it’s fast, stable and makes my phone almost new again.  So, I can’t imagine what it’s like with some real horsepower behind it.  Interestingly, it’s underclocked at 768Mhz, but that could be a ploy to save some juice and give you a couple extra hours of use without sacrificing the performance.  It’s said to come with 512MB of ROM and RAM, which seems typical for this generation of Android smart phones along with it’s 3.7″ AMLOED screen.

UPDATE: Word on the street, or the internet, is that the ROM will be a whopping 6GB and RAM 1GB.  Take that with a grain of salt, but if it’s true that would make the Incredible’s ROM 12 times larger than any other Android and the RAM double any other Android.

I’m hoping all the red is solely to indicate this is a test phone and not for production.  Not that you see much of the red once all closed up, it’s just so bright it hurts my eyes.  Remember, this thing has already shown up in Verizon’s inventory system, so look for an announcement soon.

Note on that top picture – the ear speaker grill is red. Which pretty much confirms that the previous video was this phone since you see both that red speaker grill (which i thought only existed on the SS) and the optical tracking sensor in front.
