The news this morning is that HTC has started shipping the production units of CDMA connected Nexus One phones to the US warehouses. Most like, those warehouses are Google’s, and soon those phones can make their way into your warehouse.
This doesn’t really come as much of a surprise as it’s been known since Jan 5th the Verizon version of the Nexus One would be coming in the Spring of 2010. Well, Spring will be here this week, making it time to dust off your credit cards and prepare your online purchasing skills.
Purchasing will be direct through Google via the same avenue as the T-Mobile and unlocked version now, but these Nexii will come with CDMA for support of Verizon’s network. What will be interesting to learn is weather Google will sell an unlocked version of the CDMA Nexus One as well, making it possible for Sprint users to join in the fun. We’ll have to wait and see I guess, but all the nets are abuzz with a March 23rd release date, through an announcement during CTIA. So, hold onto your hats, let’s hope a week from now I’m writing an article on the availability of the CDMA Nexus One for Verizon and Sprint users.
