Verizon has been cooking up some great Android rumors and news lately. Today marks the first day for sending out Android 2.1 updates to current Mororola DROID owners, at least a lucky set of testers anyway, the CDMA version of the Nexus One is rumored to be making it’s way to Google’s warehouses for eminant announcement and sale. Today, news is coming from DailyTech that they have spoken with sources inside Verizon Wireless who have stated the HTC Incredible should be in stores in two weeks.
We’ve already seen that the Incredible is in Verizon’s inventory system, which typically doesn’t happen until close to actual sales time. But, to go from pure rumors and spy shots to full on get your hands wrapped around the phone in store sales within two weeks seems pretty rapid. Could it be possible Verizon is waiting until CTIA to make the announcement, maybe to distract customers from another companies big announcement? Sprint is said to be announcing their first ever 4G Android phone, the Supersonic – also made by HTC, during CTIA next week. Yep, the next couple weeks are big for Android.
