The Buzz about Google Buzz Android Widget

Yesterday, Google announced via the Google Mobile Blog the availability of a Buzz Android Widget for posting updated Buzzes to the world.  The concept is fairly simple, it’s a toolbar style widget that allows for quick posting of a Buzz that includes built in geo-tagging of your Buzz, as well as the option to add a photo from your phone, or take a new one with the built in camera.  It also provides a one touch access to the web app version of Google Buzz for mobile devices.

The widget is easy to use, but really doesn’t do much more than open a full screen input section for Google Buzz allowing for adjusting all the options the user can prior to sending out the Buzz.

You can set the Buzz as private or public, add a photo, take a photo and set your location if you’d like.  You can pick from a drop down of local places based on your location if you want to get specific on where exactly you are if say you are in a mall and want to specify the particular store you are in or Buzzing about.

@ Ryan That’s the Helixlauncher app on the market. Not sure you if need Android 2.1 to use it, but I am running it on top of the DamageControl ROM on my HTC Hero.
