Dell’s AT&T Android Handset – Aero
Looks like Dell and AT&T might finally get official with Dell’s Android offering to the AT&T users of the US, the Dell Aero, which looks to be the Dell Mini 3i that has been available in China since last year. While there are many details yet, the phone’s hardware will probably be similar to what comes inside the 3i. It also looks like it will come with a custom UI built on top of Android, so most likely it’s not going to be running Android 2.1.
The 3i comes with a 3.5″ 360×640 screen, which is somewhere between the offering of lower end Android phones and the high end Android phones in terms of size and resolution. Also, it has a 3.2MP camera and the standard array of slots including microSD and a USB port. However, no word on anything else yet, so look for the details on the Aero soon from AT&T.
AT&T also will soon unveil an Android-based smartphone the Dell Aero. This will be Dell’s first smartphone available in the U.S., and will feature a new, beautiful custom user interface developed by Dell and AT&T. To learn more about the Dell Aero, visit www.att.com/aero.
AT&T’s Facebook page makes mention of the Aero as well, but without much details.
