In a move that could be signaling some of the reduction of carrier exclusivity, Samsung may be releasing the Galaxy S for all four carriers this year according to Forbes.com. This would be similar to the Nexus One from what I understand, with a different physical phone for each network. It’s not too much of a stretch as there are reports of seeing an AT&T and a T-Mobile Galaxy S already in the works, so why not make one more with CDMA tech inside and pick up all four. That might just be what Samsung is thinking.
It would be the first phone to do it, but if Samsung manages to get the carriers’ buy in, then it’s be the first to be offered through each carrier, unlike the Nexus One which is only available online via Google. Let’s hope they can pull it off and offer everyone the choice for a fantastic looking Android smart phone.
