If you are in need of a quick access widget to adjust the volume of your Android phone, take a good look at AudioManager Widget by Smart Android Apps. The AudioManager widget is a simple widget, either a 4×1 or 4×2 size that shows you the current volume levels of all the system audio in one quick glance. Need to make a change or adjust something, just tap adjust and done.
The widget/app is small and installs easily. Once installed, long press your Android home screen, or press MENU and select “Add”. Choose “Widgets” and either AudioManager Large (4×1) or AudioManager Small (2×1). Place it on your home screen as you want so you get something like the following:
Here you can see the current volume levels for the following events/activities:
This is a nice quick method for knowing all your volumes at once. From here, if you want to change any setting, simply tap the widget and you’ll get the adjustment window where you can make all the changes you want. To turn on and off the cell’s vibration, tap the phone icon next to “Mode:” in the “Ringer Volume” row.
It’s that simple. Try out the free widget and if you like it, for $0.99 you can purchase the pro widget which does away with ads, provides you with 4 different widget skins for customizing and more important, “Profiles”. Setup audio profiles for each setting you can imagine and you can quickly switch between profiles or even add a “Profile” widget on the home screen for one tap audio setup. Create a profile for work, outdoors, movies, etc and quickly switch when needed.
