Looks like more and more Android 2.1 news just keeps appearing in the wild. This time it’s coming from MobileCrunch. They’ve gotten a number of tips and a screenshot showing Android 2.1 firmware updates should be rolling out to Verizon Droid Eris users starting May 11th via an Over The Air update. Of course, the choice of words in the memo are fairly loose and since Sprint and HTC can’t seem to get their act together, it’d be a surprise if this wasn’t bumped tomorrow.
