The main engineer behind webOS, the very nicely styled alternative OS to Google’s Android and Apple’s iPhone OS, Matias Duarte, has left Palm and webOS behind and taken on the position of User Experience Director of Android for Google. This is great news indeed as we’re sure this will bring in some better UI for the Android platform, something that can always use improvements and tweaks.
Let’s hope this marriage proves to be fruitful. Gingerbread is good with icing on top.
