It should be well known at this point that the Samsung Galaxy S line of phones will be available on all four of the top cell carriers in the US and to kickoff the blanket of phones is the Samsung Vibrant for T-Mobile.
The Vibrant is available through T-Mobile for $199 with a two-year contract and a mail-in rebate. The biggest feature of the phone is a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, supposedly with better brightness, less reflection (for viewing in direct sunlight) and less power consumption that previous OLED screens. Around back is a 5MP camera, unfortunately lacking a flash, but I am personally unable to determine if that’s necessary or not. I have found camera phone “flashes” are more like a gimmick for anything but the closest of photos, still it seems like it wouldn’t have been too difficult to add that feature in.
Inside is a 1Ghz Samsung “Hummingbird” processor with a dedicated SGX540 processor, giving the Vibrant, and all Samsung Galaxy S line of phones, a huge boost in graphics power.
