Sounds like all the rumors about Gingerbread, the codename for the next release of Android will soon come to and end with the release of Android 2.3 in the next few days. Just as before, Android 2.3 will first make it’s way onto Nexus One handsets, the current Android developer phone. More than likely and SDK announcement will be made this week, sources point to Nov 11th, at which time we can learn a little more about the details. Seeing as how Gingerbread is a “point release” moving from 2.2 to 2.3, don’t expect a huge set of new features. Most likely, it’ll add a few minor features and fix a few bugs and annoyances.
