Android 2.3 SDK/NDK Available – Developers Hungry for Gingerbread

Google has just released the SDK and NDK for application developers for Android 2.3, Gingerbread.  It looks like a majority of the enhancements are focused to try and help game developers create better games for the Android platform.  Other APIs and enhancements look to support some of the features just announced for the Nexus S, including NFC and VoIP telephony.  Also looks like there is native support for front-facing cameras as well.  This is a good little point update to the Android OS and let’s congratulate Google and the Android team.

Thanks Google!

Google has provided a nice intro video as well:
