The Motorola Xoom was also announced yesterday, ahead of CES 2011. The Xoom is Motorola’s entrance into the Android 3.0, Honeycomb, Tablet market. There are a few of them out there, and the Xoom has alot of potential.
The Xoom is a 10.1″ 1280×800 and 1Ghz dual core Tegra 2 tablet. Much like it’s counterparts. Of course there is the standard array of connections, including 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and at this time it has 3G connectivity through Verizon. It’s said to be upgradeable to 4G later this year. It comes with a 5MP camera which can record at 720p and it can playback videos at 1080p and there is a hefty 32GB of internal memory to store all those 1080p videos. The battery should provide about 10 hours of video playback.
