It appears the great devs over at XDA might have done it again. At the time of this writing they are in the middle of finding a way to bypass the bootloader, write data to the NAND and provide a false signature. This is still in work and a couple of remaining steps are required before it’s time to claim victory, but it’s a huge step in the right direction. While they aren’t quite there yet, if successful this could spell the ability to install custom ROMs on the Atrix, including updated kernels and other low level mods.
